2008 USDRIFT: EAST COAST SERIES SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

With the sixth season of USDrift comes a 6 event competition series to commemorate it.  In just a few short months the season will kick off another year of excitement.  Be sure to check back frequently as new practice events and demos will be added, as well as the updated 2008 rulebook scheduled to be released in the following days.

The 6 event competition schedule is as follows: (for the complete 2008 schedule, please visit the 'events' link)

2008 USD Practice Event #2
on the 1.1 Mile Patriot Course at
VIRginia International Raceway

Details:
This is event is a one day practice event and is the perfect chance for you to test/tune your car before the season fully kicks off. Total track time is 8 hours. Full day sessions will be from 8:30AM to 12:30PM, a 1 hour lunch break, and then 1:30PM to 5:30PM. All entrants must be 18 years or older* and possess a valid NASA membership in order to participate. To obtain or renew your NASA membership, please visit their website and select the USD Region. All drivers are required to wear long pants, closed toe shoes, and long sleeve shirts while on track per NASA HPDE and VIR rules. Helmets (no moto-x) are required for all drivers and are not provided.

Misc.:
Camping will be allowed.
Air and water will be available in the Patriot paddock.
Fuel and meals will be available for purchase in the Main paddock.
Paddock speed limit is 3mph and will be strictly enforced.
Grounds speed limit is 10mph and will be strictly enforced.

Other Activities:
When you're not on-track during this event, there will be plenty of other things to see at VIR! NASA Mid-Atlantic will run a High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) both days on the 3.3-mile, 17-turn Full Course, as well as roadracing . Spectating and paddock access is free for our participants (and encouraged.) "Touring laps" behind a pace car on the Full Course will tentatively be available during our lunch break session for an additional $10.00 per car. These are open to any licensed driver in any car or truck and offer a great way to get out and see the facility from an on-track perspective.
There is also a circuit cross event on Sunday, March 30th, and go-kart races on Friday and Saturday evenings. For more information on these events, please visit Get-Fast.

$175.00 Late Registration (between 3/9/2008 and 3/22/2008)
$200.00 Later Registration (between 3/23/2008 and 3/28/2008)
Day of registration will be $200, provided spaces are still available.

Schedule:
7:00AM - Registration & Technical Inspections
7:30AM - Course Walk (optional and recommended)
8:00AM - Mandatory Meeting (failure to attend will result in failure to participate)
8:30AM - On Track
12:30PM - Lunch Hour
1:30PM - On Track
5:30PM - Finale
